Curious by default

Technology, people, and the way work gets done.

I'm Hjalte Daniel. I connect the technical details with the people and the business behind them — and look for ways to make everyday work a little better.

A little curiosity goes a long way.

A developer's curiosity. A commercial perspective.

I built my first website at eight. The curiosity stuck. Since then, I've worked with software support, technical sales, presales and team leadership — learning how much good technology depends on understanding the people who use it.

Today, I work at Relewise. Before that, I spent years at Umbraco, including a spell helping build the US team in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Less friction. More useful work.

I'm interested in the bits between systems: the handover that loses context, the task someone repeats every morning, the customer who has to explain the same thing twice.

Automation can help. But first, we need to understand the work. I care about simple processes, clear ownership, and changes that people can actually use.

More than a job title.

I'm a hockey fan, a Social Democrat, and a former member of Odense City Council. I live on Funen and like conversations that make me think a little differently.

Technology is a big part of my life. It isn't the whole of it.
